Glad to see that the Sea of Thieves development team got their "Save Character" function added to the game for release but I would like to offer some improvement and future development ideas to the mix.
First it would be great if players could have the ability to toggle when choosing a character in the carousel between spawning mixed characters like now or all male/ all female characters.
This could seriously shorten the selection process for those players who know exactly which gender character they wish to make.
Secondly it would be even better if players could further refine the selection process by being able to pre-select between the body types being spawned ie: skinny, toned, fat, fat + skinny, etc.
As someone who spent more than 15 minutes selecting a character Only to delete the Pirate profile 2 hours later just to spend an additional 15-20 minutes in the carousel selecting a new pirate because the old one had black hair which I didn't like and didn't find out until I decided to change hair styles in-game (He was bald when I first picked him out!) These first two ideas and my final third idea could save players from spending excessive time in the character creation phase and help get players actually get underway on their adventures sooner.
Finally Thirdly we players really need a way to return to the character creation carousel without loosing ALL game progression and reputation. This is important because as new content arrives with perhaps new nationality themes, players will naturally want to create characters to role-play with. Thus being able to re-create characters without resetting progress and even if it costs real money like Xbox gamer tag changes should be added to the game Asap.
