Guys (and gals) check your black market purchases, i've been informed by a staff member that a short time after the first weekender begun items purchased from Larinna and Duke were reset without the doubloons being refunded, so if you spent any doubloons early on the first weekender TOO BAD, Rare has no plans to refund those as i been informed by a "support agent" who's name will remain unmentioned (pretty sure i can't do that) the reason i'm mentioning this is you might miss out on the items you planned on buying as at some point they will become unavailable.

Yeah, same thing happened to a crewmate of mine. His doubloons weren't wiped, he spent them at the store, and the items he purchased were later removed. Any doubloons he earned during the event, he was refunded, and since he participated in the event, he had to sail over again and buy the items he wanted.
Yes. The items will become unavailable after a year.

And that's it? they didn't even report that as a bug?
His doubloons not being wiped, was the bug. He then purchased items with the "bugged" doubloons. The items he purchased, were removed, since he wasn't supposed to be able to purchase them in the first place. He then did the challenges and voyages of the event, and those were the doubloons he was able to be refunded.
If he just purchased the items he wanted and then logged out for that event, he wouldn't have any doubloons refunded, since he didn't participate. For him it was a small inconvenience having to sail back over to purchase the items he wanted with the doubloons he earned during the event, but he was able to get what he wanted most (the curse).

The signs were there but no, players didn’t even bat an eye and tried to take advantage and get upset when they got found out and lost what they “stole”
Yes of course it was a bug on rare part. It you the player should have know better.
