solo sloop only lobbies

  • PVE servers are great for roleplaying, meeting new people, R & R, and practicing.

It sounds like Safer Seas already offers these things and soon, custom servers.

Players get tired of the vanilla experience and want something new or catered toward their style of play.

Game like this, people get tired of the vanilla because they dont even explore everything the game offers. You have those who just do 1-2 things, Hourglass or commendation hunting. Nobody actually does the full experience, so what they get tired of is what they created.

Here's what most likely happens to MP/Online Co-Op game like this. (Its happen to many)
Say they do offer a solo/pve server. Overhaul of everything required, so all those achievements that say "against another crew" changes to "Against skeletons."
So now all those once difficult tasks, which required playing the game longer, become simpler and very easy to do. Within a month all achievements and commendations get completed. After all, in a pve/solo server you have no risk to worry about, and with 100% unlocked you sell everything under a single tent and you hoard 6 hours of loot and nobody comes to steal it.
After say a month, you have 100% of the game. Now as a modern gamer, you have no real reason to play anymore until the next big update and simply quit.
Why would you continue playing a SP game if you already 100% it? Nobody really does. If you decide to play HS for whatever reason, you find you max out everything and show off your stuff to people who are in same boat, but nobody is selling, nobody has anything, it becomes a big HG map and which people leave again...because why should they continue to play a game they have everything already?

If the idea to have a Solo sloop server is to play alone, Safer Seas is for you. If you want friends with their own ships, Custom Servers will grant that to you.
If you just want to play alone/with friends, on a server with 0 restrictions and unlock everything and quit. You're not here to play a game, you just want that 100% completion status in your library. You're not here for the game or to support it.

The game is built for co-op, player interactions, and making stories by meeting random strangers during moments that either go your way or nobody's.
Some reason you dislike playing with strangers; this game isn't for you or built with you in mind. Solo Sloop was just a player choice, made by players, allowed by the game's freedom of playstyle. Cost is harder gameplay but playable and, frankly, just as exciting as with a big ship.
