I exchanged Microsoft Store Points into Acnient Coins. But did not recieve anything.

  • Hi all,

    Yesterday I exchanged 8500 Microsoft Store points into 1000 ancient coins. I recieved the message on the Homepage,
    that the exchange was successful. I made a screenshot for proof. Ther was written, that after the next login, I would
    receive it. Until now I did nt get anything. I can not find a support email on the webpage. Does anybody know what
    I could do to solve the problem?

    How do you play SoT ? Steam, Xbox, PS5 or on PC using the game bar (or whatever it's called) ?

    If it's anything than the latter, you won't get the sails AFAIK. Edit: I was wrong.

  • @lem0n-curry I play via Steam on PC. But I needed to enter the code on the official Sea of Thieves Page. I did so. I want my 1000 ancient coins.
    Thats the reason I was saving the microsoft coins. I should get the sails and 1000 ancient coins. I didnt get anything. Any Idea what I can do?
    Or does somebody got an email adress to contact them?

  • If you got the Ancient Coins pack with the Lustrous Legend sails, you should have received a code starting with "SOT8BUNDLE", which you can redeem here:

    Check your email, or on the Microsoft Rewards page go to Redeem and then Order History and click Get Code.

    AFAIK, looking at the fine print, this should be available on all platforms, as it's a SOTCODE not a Microsoft code. But I can't be 100% sure of that.

    In that case, double check on the redeem page by going to Items Redeemed tab. You should see it there. Assuming you have the correct account logged in, you should get the sails within 72 hours. If not, contact Support.

  • @realstyli I see it there. So then I will wait 48 more hours. Because it was wriiten there, I could use it after the next login. Didnt know it could take 72 hours.

    Additionally, we must make you aware that these Ancient Coins will only be applied to your account once you log into Sea of Thieves via a Microsoft Platform, such as the Microsoft Store, an Xbox Device or XCloud. Users on other platforms will not receive these Ancient Coins, even if the code is successfully redeemed.

    Generally, it doesn't. I've only ever had it take that long once. But at times like this, when there are a lot more people playing, things get a bit delayed in the system. Some people are having delays getting other rewards, so I expect that's what's happening.

    From the actual email where I got mine:

    To redeem the code provided by your Ancient Coin Pack, log into https://www.seaofthieves.com/redeem with your Sea of Thieves account.

    Note: Once the Ancient Coin Pack has been redeemed using the above method, you will need to log into the game before the Ancient Coins and cosmetic are applied to your profile. Once this is done, they will be available to spend across all supported platforms. The Lustrous Legend Sails can be equipped in-game by accessing the Shipwright's Chest at any Outpost.​

    Oooh, that's an improvement.

    I hope they will do this for all such purchases in the future as well, no longer need for a MS copy to keep updated for whenever I gain enough points (points that I gain while playing on Steam ...)

    I agree that it's a better system. Hopefully, it's not just an exception because this is a celebration item. But I have seen them sending out SOTCODES for a lot more things lately, so fingers crossed.
