Supplies for HG Fights like back in the days in the Arena

  • Ahoy there,

I’d like to suggest that both ships will automatically get the same Supplies added immediately when diving and just before an HG fight begins and the Supplies they had before will be temporary removed until the fight is over.

When a battle is over, the automatically added Supplies will automatically be removed from the ship who won the battle and the Ship will be reverted to the Supplies it had before starting to dive.

This would make fights more fair, because both Ships will always have the same Supplies at the beginning of a fight.
And the annoying gathering of Supplies in the run-up to a battle would be a thing of the past.
And everyone can play freely without having to think about whether there are enough Supplies for the fight.

    Cheers

Hourglass isn’t a comp fight. Fairness is not in the pvp cards.
Hourglass is just an instant pvp tool, not mode. You’re still in the open world, other ships can and should join in on those fights. And those third party ships may or may not have curses you yourself won’t have either.

The resources you have doesn’t equal power or strength. Someone can miss a lot more than they can land a hit. Wasting resources.
Someone can come in with 60 curses and miss every shot, while you with 20 cannon balls sink them

While this is a nice idea on paper it would be quite open to hacks and bugs.

A suggestion put out in another thread is an get back in the game HG crate with some bonus supplies after you sink in HG.

Its a good idea but if it was an HG supply crate that requires you to pleadge to a HG faction as an emissary, no sink needed. That way when you start for HG you go straight for it. Purchase is avaible from either the stranger in the Inn or the skelly at the reapers table.

    Scale to ship size.
Sloop: 10 chain and scatter, 5 of each throwable and fruit, 50 cannon and 30 wood.
Brig. 15 chain and scatter, 10 of each throwable and fruit, 75 cannon and 60 wood.
Galley: 20 chain and scatter, 15 of each throwable and fruit, 100 cannon and 90 wood.

Each time you sink in HG, your purchase record is wiped clean for all crates and supplies.

Supplies of that level would mean most fights would be even. 500 cannon vs 250 is not much difference.
