Add a timer to hourglass.

  • There needs to be a point system, just like with arena, every time your cannon ball hits a ship you gain points, every kill gains points. The match will have a 10 minute timer and if the fight last 10 minutes whoever has the least amount of points explode just like when going out of bounds.

    This will be most noticeable with sloop fights. I’ve had sloop battles go on for an hour, this would also help with players who like to run and when by boring to the point you scuttle.

    What if, you dont? Someone Kegs a ship, Skeleton sinks the ship, Crash into islands, sink by storm. Do those get added to points? What if a Third party sinks the ship? Do I win? Missed all my shots, but another ship does all the work who isn't 'part of the hourglass' Many ways to damage a ship, sometimes not by the player.

    Oh here. One sloop hits the ship, Once. Spends remaining 9min running. That ship wins because...he had more points.

    Remove the restrictions created by Hourglass, you got two ships battling by any means. Hour fight are more ideal than a 15 second sink.

  • pretty smart, people unable to land any cannon hits would be able to get some satisfying wins if they can board and kill effectivelly, needs some tinkering, but sounds like a good idea.

  • @burnbacon All of that doesn’t matter as points aren’t the only win condition, so getting kegged or skelly ship is still fair play. The timer and points system is simply to prevent fights from going on for too long.
