Make all outposts like cashing in burning blade

  • There are too many no life's that enjoy sitting at an outpost all day after scuttling their ship just waiting to jump anyone that pulls their ship up to dock, then quickly sells all your loot while you're respawning. That doesn't feel like combat, just getting one shot with a shotgun when i turn in my first chest in then get everything sold while I'm respawning, that just feels cheap and a poorly designed game system.

So I think it should be changed to just sell all loot on your ship when you first pull up to dock like the burning blade is, or make the outpost a safe area where pvp is disabled, but either way something needs to change. Too many kids on tiktok wanting to replicate these toxic streamers clips.

  • In short.

Player wants outposts to pve friendly because they don’t check before they sell. Check for sneaky pirates.

Can’t wait for the up coming season where they encourage tucking more XD

just feels cheap and a poorly designed game system.

So does beating a fort only for someone to keg my ship and “steal” what I worked for. But that part of being a pirate.

  • Rather than being judgemental about a perfectly valid tactic because you're frustrated at losing loot....why not try to learn from it. Look for Mermaids, use blunderbombs to check for tuckers, don't sell at the most obvious outpost. It could be these people are tucked on your ship too.

They aren't doing anything wrong, and it's certainly not that common so demanding the game be changed entirely is a massive overreaction.

  • If you're worried someone might be tucking there, lap the outpost and look for a mermaid. Or check for hitmarkers with blunderbombs around sovereigns. Use your initiative.

  • @MarineMike

In the kindest way possible; go to safer seas. You can do 90% of everything in game with 0 risk of anyone stealing from you or killing you.

If they scuttled it means they can't respawn, you have infinite lives while they have 1. Use that to your advantage. Players on an Island without a ship will have spawned a Mermaid, use that to identify if someone is on the Outpost. Leave your Boat far enough away and cannon out to find the player and kill them. If you can't kill them, go to another outpost. They likely won't be able to respawn their boat and still be able to catch back up to you before you sell. You could even bait it by sailing away for a little bit then turn around, likely they have already mermaided back to their boat to cut you off and you're free to return.

There is 101 ways to prevent an enemy taking your loot and instead of learning even a single one, you just want to remove the possibility of players killing you and taking your loot in the game about pirates. They aren't no life's, they just know how to steal stuff, and you don't know how to not get your stuff stolen.

  • Just NO!
The Burning Blade belongs to Flameheart, so we have to give it back to him alone!
Besides, the whole point of being on the BB is to fight, not run away!

  • @marinemike

Turning in the BB does not include all the loot you had aboard. Just the ship. Like an emmisary flag.

    Also no.

  • This is a common occurrence for you? I wish stuff like this happened to me often but I am stuck selling loot with no one around to fight :(

  • Whenever you are pulling into port, check for mermaids around the island.

It may not even be a person that scuttled their ship and waited, they may have intentionally gone to that port with the intent to steal from you.... or they may have even already been on your ship (Which will be a lot more prevalent in Season 14).

The time it takes to sell loot is part of the game, just like it is to be able to steal it.

And while you do "Cash in" the burning blade at once, any treasure on your ship will float to the surface... and since you cashed in the Blade, you lose your emissary multiplier.
