Sea of thieves insiders not working on Xbox One S

I wanted to progress my insiders rewards a bit further and so updated the Xbox game but now whenever I try to play it, it simply crashes and I can’t actually get online. I tried searching it up but couldn’t find any solutions and wondered if anybody had a fix I could try? I have tried uninstalling and re-downloading to no avail, the same issue just keeps happening.
