I understand most of the restrictions in Safer Seas, but if Ashen Chests can be found, we should still be able to get the key for them.

@argumentguy it's not hard to the keys they spawn at forts, random skeletons on island, you can fish them up no I think having to collect them still is fine it's not like there's other crew to steel them from you
@argumentguy no she should not. You have no risk of loosing your loot to other pirates, go find one yourself

Yeah... I noticed on the cut/restricted achievements list that the tomes achievement wasn't available. Unless I'm missing something there's not a pvp element to those other than...y'know the usual stuff. I don't follow the logic on this besides maybe a ritual skull being a loot possibility from HS?
Anyway. Non issue...
@pithyrumble I THINK it's some strange remnant connection to the proto-Reaper bones stuff. The tomes are loosely associated with them.
Ashen chests do spawn but you may find the rewards for opening them wont be worth buying the keys considering tomes are disabled. Buying the keys and opening the chests will just result in a loss of a lot of doubloons for maby a small doubloon pouch, and maby a tiny bit of gold. Without the chance of the one thing people open them for, its pretty much just a waste of your doubloons.
@argumentguy i mean there are multiple ways to get ashen keys:
- skeleton ships / fleets
- random spawn ashen keymasters on islands
- skeleton fort events
- random floating barrels
- fishing without bait
Why purchase a voyage ?
I find plenty of ashen chests and no i dont open them all but do alot with the keys i find along the way. And those that i dont open, i sell as is.
