Skull of Siren Song Event Time Should Be Adjusted

  • I feel like the Skull of Siren Song world event is a bit too frequent. Given that it is 50k gold, making it one of the most valuable items in the game, I think it should definitely be way more time than other world events. I'm not sure what the actual time between the event is, but it just feels way too often to me. It feels like every time I finish a Skull Of Siren Song voyage, another one is ready for me after 10-20 minutes or so. I also think increasing the time would make it feel more special and not like a chore, I have often skipped a Siren Song voyage simply because I knew another one would be ready in a bit and I was busy or had treasure aboard and wanted to sell before potentially engaging in combat. I think it would be a more fulfilling and even more competitive event if the event was much rarer (Perhaps maybe even just a few times a day), making it so I would HAVE to drop everything to do this event if I didn't want to miss my chance to take on the voyage for the next few hours or so, which would mean me and many other players would actually have loot aboard their ship making fights way more risky and satisfying.

    Yeah, that would be a good idea. Maybe they could add a new shrine to the game, where when you solve the puzzle, it activates the event.

  • It may be because it's new - when it's longer in game they probably will decrease the frequency.

    Would not be fun waiting an hour for the new feature to pop-up.

  • Honestly doesn't feel THAT frequent to me. One group I was with only got one skull, and we couldn't get another for so long, we had to turn in after that one. I think the wait time might possibly imbalanced with how some get it quicker and some take forever to get it.

    shorter wait times lead to more organic play/server investment

    I'm hoping some of the more common feedback in the past few days doesn't get implemented because it would likely end up being a common (in sot) over correction that leads to it not being appealing.

    They did well on this, I hope feedback doesn't lead to tinkering just to tinker at a sacrifice to longevity. Some of the feedback will lead to it being less appealing for long term play.

    It doesn't have the value to hold up a rare design, gotta keep these things moving and not time consuming or people will just tune out.

    Especially now with guild play and cosmetic sharing through that.

  • It's not such an attractive journey, if it were 100 thousand a skull, or had an emissary bonus I would think it would be ok to increase the time between one and the other, but currently I don't see the point.

    I would simply change servers in search of another mission if I wanted to do it

  • @lem0n-curry I think so too. I was pleasantly surprised to see it happen though, I wanna get some reps in for a bit.
