Could the new servers be expanded in the future?

    Im talking about the ''safe seas'' servers having a toolset where you are able to customize your experience.
    A sandbox map with tools. Spawning multiple ships, resources etc.

    Giving the players a 'true' sandbox experience of customizable servers: Inviting their friends/community members over and do what ever they want without constraints.
    It doesn't have to have a fancy UI either, a console command is plentiful for typing out commands and setting up a server with your specifics that you want.

    Could this be the future of the ''safe seas'' realistically?
    Think about it:
    Private Partnered servers always had the option to do this, (Select Number of ships and sizes)
    and I've talked to well known community folks that have hinted about customizable options for said servers on how RARE where working on it, but gave little to no updates the past year.
    Why don't they bring it to the general public within these new upcoming servers?

    I made a comment on Mike Chapman tweet that he has 100% seen due to it being the most liked/viewed comment, yet he dodged the question :D.
    Maybe a bit more luck here.

    @ix-indi-xi now this would really kill the game...some people are already concerned about safer seas maybe splitting the player base (I don’t think it will), but this would do that

    Do the Partnered Servers give progression of any kind? Because giving the players more control over their private servers could be a really easy way to just cheese progression if so.

    I'm all for the ability to have more ships on Safer Seas, though, because sometimes I just want to sloop race my friends and it's damn hard to get put into the same server as them to do so.

    No all progression/gold is disabled on those servers.

    If after 6 months or more, many more players are spending more hours in safer seas than those on high seas, Rare might decided to go full PVE mode if that's what's going to keep the game growing.

    I'll do my bit by locking myself away😉

    Dude, he didn't answer your question on Twitter, do you really think calling him out publicly here is going to help your cause?!?

    Kinda over the line if you ask me, you already had your answer, which was none.

    Better to try, nothing malicious.
    It's been requested a lot in private servers, and know since there's essentially private servers for the public but just watered down ''safer seas''.
    Why not have an actual toolset at this point in a ''sandbox'' game.
