Decrease the length of each season.

  • The plunder pass can be totally leveled in one day. And after that, players are left with a season that is usually not content rich enough to keep the average player entertained for months.

  • Then don't put in 18 hours sessions

  • @scheneighnay Never once have i put in an 18 hour. I have completed this seasons plunder pass in 7-8 hours from a world event and fotd stack. It was extremely underwhelming as are the season's updates.

  • the average player being someone who puts in maybe 3 hours a week. so if you finished the plunder pass 7-8 hours of fort stacking then you were on a pve discord so grats? you chose to play that way. thats on you they shouldnt make the pass harder to complete because some unemployeed person plays unhealthy long sessions to grind stuff out asap. might i add the commendation to get 30 fort of fortune chests would be pretty hard to do in 8 hours since the fort has respawn times. even streamers being fed servers with active fof couldnt do 30 in a day

the only thing i can agree with is i find after i finish renown my incentive to play goes down. why put in the effort grinding if i have no renown or ledger progress to make? if you havent gotten all the ledger rewards maybe thats something else you can strive for.

When this particualr Season launched, selling to Sovereigns gave insane amounts of renown, it was great haha.

But I agree, it would be nice if Seasons returned to ~3 months in length. Season Pass cosmetics are always so great, and the long gap between new ones is frustrating!

  • The seaons length are the direct result of the time it takes for Rare to iron out the next one. If S9 has been extended, it's because S10 needed more work.

We would all love to have nice updates in a timely fashion, for sure, Rare included. :p

  • @grievoussssss don't think anyone would disagree but also think as quite a few seasons have been delayed there's no point in them committing to shorter seasons.

  • The plunder pass can be totally leveled in one day

Depends on the player. Not everyone can do what you can.

  • I think Rare is lacking in the design department they can barely manage 3-4 months. It’s so bad that designing a UI for saving outfits were too much for them and that had to be pushed back.

  • No. There is no need in decreasing the length of each season. In fact, it is good to have them for 3-4 months. It allows average players to reach lvl 100 without worry about it and enjoy the seas at their own rhythm.
And there is alot of content. From Siren Shrines and Treasuries to Hourglass and Tall Tales. There is alot of ways to play Sea of Thieves, each of which is very unique and memorable.
If ye have nothing to do, then it's on ye matey.

  • @selgewick There is nothing wrong with having a long season, ideally it would be 3 months, BUT, as long as there is enough content to do to keep us interested for the 3 months. Season 9 is a terrible example of adding no content and then expecting us to be happy over the whole season with nothing new to do. Yes we had the mystery and finally now the adventure, but they have not filled the content maw we've been going through.

  • @grievoussssss the first week this season the seasonal progression went WAY too fast i completed it in less then 8 hours too, since then it has been adjusted.

The thing with seasons is updates arent ready until they are ready, season then has already been silently pushed back because it needed more time in the oven

  • @keylessword4029 i work 8h per day, Drive 40 min to and 40min back from Work. And i work in 3 shifts.

I was done in a week.
To decrease the length they still need content.
