every time I helm and let go of the helming wheel I have back lags. Even after 30 seconds, I'm already at the bottom of the boat, but I can't open anything and after a few seconds I'm back at the wheel. I have a powerful pc, so that's not the problem. Has anyone experienced this or know a solution

PC power doesn't have much to do with lag unless it's extremely underpowered. I'd check that your router is able to handle the traffic, your ISP isn't have connection problems, and if you're playing over wifi use wired instead.

Oof outside of some very rare Hard hackers crashing servers and making your pirate teleport all over the place, I have never had this issue of major back lag. Maybe once or twice where I would teleport back and forth non stop for 10 seconds. But those instances are counted on one hand over thousands of hours played.
Your issue could be something to do with your internet connection.
@d3adst1ck My download is 1000mbps but my upload is 40mbps. My service provider is bad. But until now I played on xbox and there were no back lags after the helm and I had the same internet. Couldn't it be caused by something else? And why only after the helm?
