I keep thinking about getting the lv 1000 curse but it's such a long and empty path to the reward that I'm discouraged from trying...
I think rare overdid it this time, it far exceeds the grind for the old athena weapons, so to smooth this walk there should be at least one reward every 100 lv, or better every 50 lv. Rare has several unused skins that could be placed as rewards.
And please, more clothes for the skeletons
Yes, the whole thing is one big milking job to keep people occupied.
When you think about it the base curse takes as many hours of playtime as earning 5-10 galleons.
That is just crazy.
And shortsighted, the feature will die of loneliness. I myself quit at ship milestone 50 which gets me all the ship customizations.

I have personally seen 3 different individuals who had the golden Athena curse. When the Athena weapons were first introduced in the Arena, a few dedicated players had the weapons within the first 3 months or so. This golden Athena curse is no different .
As for the current rewards, it’s disappointing that the rewards don’t go past level 200. I suspect that in a year we will get a new set of cosmetics and commendations past level 200. I believe it will be similar to the Arena revamp when we got the Triumphant Sea Dog Cosmetics and commendations
@coffeelight5545 With the grind of athena's weapons, getting 5 victories per day, you would finish in 48 days only... to get the same result with this new curse, you would have to get about 20 more lv per day
To close in 3 months as you say, you need an average of 10 lv per day, and 10 levels are not 10 victories.
In an attempt to do something for the long term, I think they overdid it this time, but if that's the way it is, there should be more rewards on the journey
