New Rowboat Idea: Cooker Rowboat

    This idea came to me when I was doing some fishing on a rowboat without my ship. When I sailed to turn in the fish I realized I had no way of cooking my food unless I brought my ship over and therefore ruining my chill roleplay as a rowboat fisherman!

    So I personally think it'd be great to add a new rowboat type with a cooker at the front, but not just for the reason above. Cooking on your ship is really slow rn, with only one stove available to cook on. This makes sea forts worth traveling to just for the 4 stove alone! Having a docked rowboat on your ship that adds an extra stove to cook on would do wonders in saving time, witch is needed considering fishing without cooking is already a time taker. Plus it'd be convenient for fish transportation with its on board storage bin. So you could take your rowboat to get closer to the Sea Post and fish there and cook as you fish. And as I stated above, this helps those fisherman who want to roleplay on a rowboat, or even develops a new way for fisherman to lay low. It's a simple feature that would add much to the game for any fisherman out there. Plus I feel like its more balanced then the cannon boat(witch is already balanced in my opinion) so I don't see it being bad.

    I've long supported the idea of being able to have a personal grill to carry around

    this idea works for that, I like it.

    Why not use the campfire(s)? Most of the islands have them...

    If people are on an adventure in open water there is no stove or fire

    this is a quality of life thing, everything qol can have someone say "why not do this other thing instead"

    the point of quality of life is to improve the session as long as it doesn't significantly negatively impact others, which this doesn't

    Sure sure but I did still from what I can read it did sound like OP forgot about the campfires

    Alternatively, it would be nice if seaposts got a small upgrade with a small cooking area. I mean, the Hunters Call do gather and prepare food for the pirates out on the seas, I don't think they'd mind us borrowing their kitchen to cook up the food. Could even be tied to a new commendation and chef hat for having cooked a set number of meals at the different seaposts.

    @junior7973 no I didn’t forget, but sailing from a sea post to an island and then back again IN A ROWBOAT just to cook my fish is a giant hassle. Like @WolfManbush said, this isn’t a necessity, but a great QOL update.

    @sargent-sully I’d also be glad about this, even tho I’d much more prefer the rowboat. Like I said this idea isn’t only for having an somewhere to cook when I’m at a seapost other then my ship. It’s major bonus would be the ability to get an extra stove on your ship with the rowboat docked on the ship. Plus having a traversal stove that can fit in smaller places would be great.

    @sir-kringle Oh trust me, i'd also love to have a movable cooking station. Maybe one of crockpots the Hunters Call cook with all the time. While yeah it would be different from the stove, maybe the cooking stages could be symbolized by the sound of the bubbles as it boils and the lit sputtering on top when done. I mean, my ship IS the "Gilded Glutton" after all. Even once transported several Brethren Storage Crates I had obtained from the tall tale stocked full of fish I had hauled in from the Shores of Gold, which might I add can be a great place for Pondie Fishing or Splashtail fishing in the event you do not wish to be bothered while fishing. You can sail south to Brian's Bazaar and sell it all.

    just like the cannon rowboat i think this would be a great addition to the game, you could use the rowboat to have a chill fishing session or give your current boat an extra stove to speed up cooking times

    Things go wrong in my sessions all of the time, so I find myself spending much time in a rowboat. Adding stoves would be a good way to give us something to do when rowing across the map.

    @sir-kringle itd give so much to the hunters and regular players as well, out of all the rowboats that are in the game if this one was added id make it a goal to go and get it everytime i go fishing or will be cooking meat

    If you are near a Phantom Sea Fort and you complete it to clear it out you can use the 4 stoves in the kitchen area for faster cooking whilst there when not at an island that has multiple cooking spots to cycle through.

    @th3xr34p3r I know that and anytime I have a lot of cooking to do I clear a sea fort just for that. But still those aren't convenient options. I feel like the cooker rowboat would be a convenient option without being overpowered at all. Just something that adds more freedom to the game.

    @sir-kringle What they could do as well is that the more milestones and commendations you complete for hunters you get more stove options for all the ships as a captain up to 4 total.

    Two years later and I'm still waiting on my Cooker Rowboat. Please Rare, I'm begging you. For the sake of all fisherman. I am glad to see two stoves was added to ships at least but I still want my fisherman rp on rowboat.

    Yep, stove rowboat pleace! Preferable with spot where I can sit and fish.
