We all know the lv5 reapers could see all the emissaries on the map.
So maybe the reaper will go to fight to the emissaries.
If the emissaries defeat the reaper and get the reaper flag, we only could sell the flag to the reaper's hideout.
And our emissary's level can't let the flag earn more golds and reputation.
So I suggest any emissary also could sell the reaper's flag to their company and be the prize that prove they defeat the threat on the sea.

When Ships of Fortune came out, I was quite sure I had read this in the patch notes. Imagine my surprise when you couldn't.People are always talking about how Reapers usually have nothing to lose when fighting an emissary. This would help give the defender something to gain from the interaction.
I like the idea of not tying the price of the flag to your emissary grade. How about 5k per level on the sold flag?

That makes a level five flag as valuable as a Box of Wonderous Secrets. If that's a good or bad thing remains to be seen.

Well it would get people fighting which is good
This would make sense and is honestly more fair - it might even encourage people to fight back more if they got more gold out of it or maybe even a new commendation with cosmetics tied to it, for risking their stuff and successfully selling the flag.
Its probably not that hard to implement as well.
As for the Box of Wondrous Secrets, that could be buffed considering how rare it is. I would like to see a commendation tied to it and cosmetics for it or a title tbh. That might make more people want to go to the Devil's Roar, a mostly dead part of the map now days, that area could use some updates...
For once I agree with this.
If a grade 5 reaper wants to fight, at least I have a reason too.
Maybe down the road, the reapers will become more hostile and the emissary factions will start offering “rewards” for sinking them.
As well those who follow the reapers will do the same.The sea will be filled with blood
I've always been for the idea of the Factions being willing to take Reaper Flags specifically. Let the Emissaries get their bonus for successfully defending themselves in an encounter with them. Those flags are worth a good bit with an Emissary bonus applied to them so they become very valuable loot in that situation. As it stands, you get far less payout on them if you defend yourself, and you have to be inconvenienced by not being able to sell where you plan to sell everything else you have (at an Outpost) because you have to go to Reapers to sell them off (which is not the target sell spot for anyone not running Reaper typically).
This would be a very healthy tweak to the system overall, and provide that sense of Factions v Reapers better than what the current system does.
