Spawncampers knowing where you spawn, before you're loaded in.

  • Lately I've been getting spawncamped which I'm fine with, but what I'm not fine with is that they literally know where you'll be before you're even loaded in from the ferry.
Apparently they can hear where you spawn by hitting the spot with a sword (which you can hear while loading in) and then you get hit by 2 blunderbusses before you even get the chance to even try anything against it.

I enjoy a good fight and yes even trying to get the better of spawn campers, but this is just frustrating.
Why are there not more spawns on a sloop anyway? Although that would not do anything about people slashing their sword around until they hear where you'll be next few seconds..

Anyway I just want to post my frustration and I would like to stand a chance and be able to tdm with those sweats next time..

  • Yes, this has been in the game for a long time, and people who have no honor or self respect use this strategy, I am pretty sure that it counts as exploiting tho.

  • @teddems wait till you find out that the game lags slightly right before a player spawns in....

@ambrossa I've asked what is and isn't bannable including swiping spawnpoints. The posts get insta locked and i get directed to the pirates code/code of conduct. Who knows if its against the rules or not.

maybe tucking in the canopy of a sloop is an exploit after all you are glitching your character through solid objects.....who knows.

  • I thought this pots was going to talk about people just standing at the back of a sloop ready to blunder yeet 🤣
God, though, I haven’t heard of this in a long time. Not that I ever used it, but I remember all the talk about it. Didn’t know it was still in the game!

  • I thought that was patched out a while ago...maybe not.

Part of the problem is that there's only like 4 spawn spots on the sloop. Combined with the brief "black screen" where you can take damage but can't move or anything allows for people to basically 50/50 where you're going to spawn and have you dead before you can do anything....and if there's more than one person spawn camping you as a solo, it's nearly impossible as they can cover top and bottom spawns pretty easily.

  • Fairly certain this is what scuttling is meant to prevent, though admittedly I've never been in a position where I have to try to scuttle from the ferry.
