How to turn off vibrations on Xbox 360 controller?

  • Ahoy fellow pirates!

I recently dislocated my shoulder and am now forced to wear an orthosis for 1 month.

I remembered that I had a dusty old 360 controller and to my surprise I found out that I am actually able to play Sea of Thieves on my PC with it. However, after I finished setting it up and began to work on my muscle memories with it I realized the vibrations are distracting me and are rather more annoying than enjoyable.

I searched the game menus and couldn't find any settings for that. I also tried googling some external methods but I only found solutions for newer generation controllers.

So, is there a viable way to turn off the vibrations on my antique controller? Have I missed something somewhere? Or am I facing a dead end over here?

Thanks in advance to anyone who will spare the time to help me out!

Sorry to hear about shoulder. I had to do something similar when I dislocated my kneecap. Twice!

Anyway, there is a setting for Vibration specifically in the game menu. It's not a straight off or on. It's a percentage 0-100% and 0% will disable it.

Well, I'm not for surgical intervention at least. Doc says I should be able to make full recovery if I am able to rest it well (at which I'm not sure I'm doing a great job). But could be worse I suppose... gotta watch things from the bright side aye?

I swear I searched the menus 5 times! Saw nothing referring to vibrations. Where is this and what is it called?

Omg I just found it under "Gameplay" it's called "Controller Vibration Intensity".

    I'm so blind... Thanks a bunch @personalc0ffee !

    Glad you found it.

I didn't tell you the name because I forgot myself but I knew it was there!

I had to disable mine for a bit during the vibration bug on Windows.
