Personally I love the shanties I just wish there were more of them, and I mean quite a lot more. That said, recently I've been watching One Piece and think that Bink's Brew would be a great addition, it fits the vibe of a pirate song and I bet it'd be a blast to sing as well. There are of course many other songs to choose from, but I'd stick my neck out for this one.

@vernai1 I mean I hadn't even heard of One Piece is what I was saying. I guess I'm too old to know what the youth of today enjoy.
@hijack-hayes Ah I see. One Piece started back in 1999 and is still going, so it's been around a while.
@vernai1 honest question, do you think One Piece has the same widespread appeal among people to know what the song is? I know some of the shanties are Rare designed but the 'Ride of the Valkyries' and stuff are just classics that a solid 90% of players would recognise. Personally I'm not sure One Piece would have the same level of recognition.
I actually don't feel passionately for/against its potential inclusion, just some thoughts.
@hijack-hayes Well given that it is an anime, and that not everyone watches anime I do not believe it would be as recognizable. That said I don't think something should be added simply because it's well known. I mean if that were true they might as well add in the hall of the mountain king, or fur elise; I however stand against those, as it doesn't exactly make sense to have classical music be what pirates play. I just want some jolly pirate-y tunes.
@theornerybear I assume most do so because they have a love for that show and to be able to experience something they love combined with something else they love (the game) it would be great. It isn't an anime tie in, it's a single song which sounds like a pirate song regardless of origin, and in this case it'd say it does fit the theme of SOT.
Whether it is from anime or not is irrelevant. I agree there's a bunch of real shanties that exist that would be great additions to the game, and if it were up to me I'd implement a majority of them; most likely through some kind of Easter egg system, searching across all the islands to find the lost shanties so you or your crew could play them.
I was simply saying we need more shanties in general, and I'd like to see Bink's Brew among them.
