Ok so I've caught and sold every type of islehopper to the hc except the raven one. I'm trying to get the commendation to get the hunter fishing rod because the hunter set is my favourite. I need help though. Which islands can you catch it at?
Need help getting a commendation
Islehopper varieties are based island to island, the Raven variety are currently known to be caught on Large Islands.
I found this list showing all the different types
Stone Islehopper: Cannon Cove, Crooks Hollow, Sailor's Bounty, Shipwreck Bay, Sharkbait Cove, etc.
Moss Islehopper: Wanderer's Refuge, Marauder's Arch, Thieves Haven, etc.
Raven Islehopper: Discovery Ridge, Sharkbait Cove, etc.
Honey Islehopper: Crescent Isle, Sunken Grove, Plunder Valley, Kraken's Fall, Discovery Ridge, etc.
Amethyst Islehopper: Devil's Ridge, Crooked Masts, Smuggler's Bay, Snake Island, etc. (night time only)

Try to catch one at snake island
snake island is the place for night time islehoppers which means any isle hopper you see during the day should be a raven
same sort of trick can be used at the sea dog place for storm fish during a storm since only night time storm fish and shadows spawn there anything during the day that is a storm fish will be a shadow
@wolfmanbush did they change isle hoppers? i thought snake only had the amethyst.
they all have their special territories except the raven. the raven can be caught at any of the islands the others (islehoppers) can be caught
which means if they catch a islehopper during the day time it'll be a raven since snake island's is the amethyst it only spawns at night
this type of trick while fishing makes it easier to tell which one is a raven when one spawns
@wolfmanbush originally even the Raven had specific islands, i dont remember what they are ive been done with fishing for quite some time, and done with isle hoppers for even longer. I am glad to hear they made it easier. HC is such a dumb faction.

The best island to catch the rare islehopper is in fact Smugglers BayBecause there are no other islehoppers spawning!! Just the night and the rare one...so if it's not a splashtail at daytime, it's definitly a rare islehopper!

But at mermaids hideway is another islehopper spawning too, isn't it?
