I've recently learned of an exploit that seems a bit Broken if you ask me.
People able to back spawn on command repeatedly in order to troll I suppose?
By scuttling the ship or your ship sinking. Your merm appears at said island or next to the enemy ship that may have sunk your boat. As long as one doesn't take the mermaid she will remain. Correct? Well what happens when you die? The players kill you either on the island or their boat you go to the dead realm right? Well I've heard players can quickly shut off the game upon death, re-log in using the "Join previous session" and be spawned directly back on the mermaid. As long as they dont take it and don't go to the ship of the damned- they have infinite respawns to continuously come back, board a vessel or island and continue to troll the players trying to complete their mission.
I just feel like this is such a strange exploit folks have discovered and have been using and to me sounds like its quite broken and shouldn't be. Like if your ship is gone and you do happen to log out/back in it should spawn you at your newly spawned ship instead of the mermaid. Otherwise a crew can continuously spawn back, kill the other players that DO have a boat nearby and continue their spawn camping even if they do end up being killed by the ones they were camping in the first place.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Or have you used this exploit to your gain? Am I the only one that feels like this should be fixed?
I feel like it gives an unfair advantage especially for those who have faster loading SoT they spawn back quicker than they would have normally even if their ship was present.
