Riddles and Directions

    Why am I not finding "Campfires in the west" anywhere when using my compass? I take out my compass and walk west on an island only to find nothing. Are these clues relative? Should I be finding the center of every island and then heading toward the riddle's direction? Because obviously the "West campfire" isn't anywhere west on the island.

    If that's the one on the Roar "west" is the western part of the middle of the island north of the doc.

    The directions work much better outside the Roar. It's almost like the clues for the Roar were made before landmarks were finalized.

    I have it all pretty much memorized now but while doing those types of clues I always started on the far side and worked my way in. clues might say "west" which I think a lot of people tend to assume is far west and a lot of times things are not that far in from the opposite direction
