"Game Version mismatch. Please check for game updates (Lightbeard)

  • I received this message every time I log into SOT. Steam client doesn't show any updates needed. I have logged out of xbox live and logged back in and I am still getting this message. Anyone else get this and have found a fix for it?

  • Same issue for me and my crew. Tried restarting our Xboxs to no avail and currently can't think of other solutions.

  • @cg5wan I have this same problem now. Played fine for the past few hours but then I started getting no gold and being unable to purchase quests. Restarted the game and says version mismatch despite being no update on the xbox one. I suspect the servers are acting up, nothing we can do on our end.

    Correct, this is server side stuff nothing we can do our end. The good news is this is being investigated as we speak.

  • Ok, so perhaps the servers are down and they are performing an update. I guess I'll just wait and see what hap[pens in a few hours. Thanks everyone!

  • Same here, both on my laptop and PC. Hope this is fixed quick, I have some time off today and was looking forward to a prolonged SoT session!
