Gamebreaking Bug

    Hello there,
    There is a gamebreaking bug since the update. If you try to rejoin your crew after losing connection or being kicked because you had to use the bathroom you CANNOT join the old game. It is IMPOSSIBLE. You get to loading screen with your character model and the tavern in the background. At the bottom the text is "searching the seas" or in german "Die Meere absuchen" and you will be stuck in this state FOREVER!
    This happened to me and my friends for at least 20 times the last week and it is anbearable! Everything you did and had is gone and you have to create a new session if you want ro play together again.
    Can you PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!

    EDIT: ANOTHER BUG:
    We also encountered a bug where we didn't get gold or reputation or emissary points for turning in loot. We turned in a whole athenas voyage worth of treasure and got nothing. That happened on my stream so if you devs need footage let me know.

    @eifel-reaper How long are you going to the bathroom for? 😂

    Turn your controller upside down so the stick keeps your pirate spinning.
    You’ll run around but will not be lazybearded.

    It will keep you in game so long as your controller doesnt go into sleep mode.
    You’ll have more than enough time.

    Ive dropped my partner off at work, had breakfast and even washed the car and came back and i was still running around the lower deck. 😁

    Well i dont fidget with my controller to stay ingame and i don't consider 10 min a long time...
    Nonetheless that doesn't help with losing collection my friend... same problem

    You dont need to fidget with your controller. Thats why it works so well.

    Place your controller upside down and keep the stick at an angle.

    You will run and spin.
    Game thinks you are still playing.

    Ive been in the game for over an hour without even thinking about it.

    If you lose connection check your xbox settings, might have a power saving mode causing your controller to go off.

    @eifel-reaper if that happens just close the game, wait a bit, start it again and then join through the friendlist...

    My gf had problems with disconnecting the whole time last weekend, but never had issues with rejoining

    That all doesn't change the fact that there is a terrible bug

    No power saving option and it happened to me and 5 friends of mine and it quite frankly is just really bad so please refrain from giving me lectures how to stay in the game that is not the point here...

    That doesn't work that is the point... you simply can't join back not via xbox live not with rejoin session it is not possible as you get stuck in the game's loading screen. And it does affect xbox as well as pc
    Also restarting the game doesn't work and restarting the xbox doesn't as well...
    It's not as if we didn't try everything we could...

    No need for the attitude mate.
    Im giving you a quick fix until its been patched.

    Know what though, whatever. You continue to struggle and complain waiting for it to be fixed when everyone else isnt having this problem because they have workarounds 👍🏻

    @daringclarky sorry for attitude but do you know how angry you get when you lose connection after 4 hours of work and you can't get rewards because you lost connection and can't get back in the game? If you get pvpd ok but if the game simply doesn't let you play it it simply sucks.
    Thanks for the idea though it isn't as if i did'nt know about that already

    @eifel-reaper Hopefully they fix it soon for you mate.
    I totally understand how frustrating that can be.

    Theres a rumour they gonna do some performance and big fixing stuff next update. Hopefully it gets addressed.

    @eifel-reaper Unless it's fixed you can die and go to the ferry and stay on the ferry and will not get timed out from the game.

    @DaringClarky Joe Neate did state they would work on bugs next month. It's in the news section on this site. Next few months in SoT

    We got the same Problem here, but we figured out that it only appeared if the original lobby host (the one opening the ship) is disconnected. He isn't able to rejoin too if he wanted so it's something more serious.

    So everything is fine and possible as long as the original host is in the lobby, as soon as he leaves noone is ever able again to join.

    pretty annoying thing for example in combination with the alt+tab bug on pc as it disconnects you from your session if you are in fullscreen loosed a tier 5 galleon last night due to this and few days ago lost two alliance ships due to this bug.

    My friend still got kicked being on the ferry so that doesn't work for us...

    Why bother to make it about bathroom time anyway? I'll choose other words next time to not spark interest in my life when this thread is about a damn bug that creates problems in a game i like to play...
    Yes i have been to the doctor and have a chronic digestion problem thank you for worrying about me...
    I am also severely disabled if you wondered...
    So i guess online games are not for me? 🙁

    @eifel-reaper Haven't known anyone that tried staying on the ferry to not get kicked in a long while. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the info.
