Fishing Time

  • Ahoy! Fellow sailors, hunters, traders and thieves!

Want to ask all of ya. Don't you guys think that fishing take lot of time? I've already crashed my ship into rocks for 4 times while was fighting with fishes to the end. And dont even want to count how many fish have I lost to not to allow my ship give a lovely kiss to different obstacles.

And I'm curious what other inhabitans of Sea of Thieves think about that.

  • @sgtviveron Well, you could just go out to open water and then put your ship into loop, either performing tight circles, or perhaps just put it behind some large island on the edge of the map where you have plenty of cover and privacy (I don't recommend Thieve's Haven right now), with sails up, and just spin it in place.

  • @sgtviveron Yeah, it's odd that something as small as a Splashtail puts up the fight it does. Stormfish are the only fish in game that look like they can put up the fight they do.

  • It only takes about 30 seconds to catch small fish, if you know how to do it.

  • @galactic-geek I know but anyway, it takes lot of time. And sit fishing somewhere in the corner - that burn lot of your time. SoT is more game about movement. I'm not even talking about hunter reputation but about cooking food regeneration - much easier to kill some pig or chicken as for me. It not worth effords.

  • You never actually been fishing have you? It suppose to take your time, and you do know you don’t have to fish on a moving ship. (Best with crew who can monitor)

    It’s relaxing.

  • @BurnBacon

As someone who has spent full days of fishing in one spot, waiting for ONE chance to hook up (Tarpon fishing sucks, you'll get maybe two bites in 4 hours), the idea of fishing being as fast as it is in sea of thieves is like a fairy tail.
