Ashen Key Voyages

  • @schramm00 If i spawn at Sanctuary, i visit Boulder Cay, Salty Sands and Picaroon Palms and keep repeating that pattern untill i have a Key.

At Plunder Outpost, i go for Paradise Spring, Cutlass Cay and Mutineer Rock. They are placed in a straight line to eachother so it's easy to navigate.

  • Every night we play, we are getting 4 or 5 ashen chests on board and NEVER see any ashen key masters. This needs fixing.

They are hard to find, i agree on that. Normally i encounter 1 every 25-30 minutes, sometimes in even less time, but in 150 minutes of playing tonight, i've encountered none. I encountered about 10 Guardians and 3 regular captains, but not a single Key Master. And the same happened yesterday. Its like the spawnrate has been adjusted.

  • It would be nice if instead of being able to buy Ashen Chests from Duke you could buy the keys. The other night we turned in 6 unopened chests. Make the keys a guaranteed loss if you want (40 doubloons say). Or add keys to roaming skeleton ships.

  • I had no issues with my books a few weeks ago. I've been on w/ my buddy trying to help him get his, and we haven't seen a single Guardian or Key Master in our last 4 sessions of searching small islands. I think Rare may have turned down the spawn rates. That, or it's a bug when playing w/ the 'Controller Only' setting, which he prefers. I'm starting to feel bad for him, but the search continues!

  • @chip Sometimes they don't seem to spawn. Just log out and join again and you usually get into a better server.

I currently have made a support ticket, because the RNG seems to have a big favor for Fire Tomes. It's so bad that I'm getting the Fire Tome V from every first chest I open after logging in.
