Soft-locked out of my Account.

    Prelude - I have tried everything to talk with a Rare rep regarding this issue. (tickets are closed regardless of the topic, nothing from reaching out on Twitter, Reddit post was deleted before it was sent.) I decided to at least try the forums, hoping that maybe someone from Rare could explain to me what exactly is going on with my account.

    This is an issue that I have been dealing with for a while (first ticket submitted May 20th 2025), I submitted a ban inquiry. I got a response sometime later with the tl;dr being, "The Xbox Live account you are using is sharing a game license with another account that has received a permanent ban." They recommended that I purchase a new copy of SoT and update my license, resolving my issue. After playing on my bother's account, verifying that the license was indeed legit, I signed into my account and was hit with the Redbeard splash text. (I even tried my friends account, a totally separate, 100% valid copy of the game. Their account worked, mine did not.)

    I responded to the ticket, saying that I was on a new license and showed that despite being on the new license as suggested, the account itself was still banned. I told them that the only explanation had to be that the account itself was banned. (Some context, I was banned before the points system and I told them that I believed I had been given and orphaned Redbeard and therefore, even with a valid license, unable to log in.) However, they responded saying that they could not help me bypass the Redbeard and wont provide anymore responses to my ticket.

    My current account status states:

    • YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR: NOT APPLICABLE

    • CURRENT POINTS: NOT APPLICABLE

    I opened a new ticket, explaining to them that the only explanation for my Redbeard splash text was that I had encountered a "Historical Ban" scenario described in their Enforcement FAQ. This ticket, and all tickets after this, have been closed without a response.

    I am now stuck, I have no way to reach out and communicate with Player Support. I have tried reaching out via Twitter but got nothing back. I am posting this to see if anyone can either relate and maybe get some SoT Support eyes looking in on my issue.

    I made another ticket last night in response to the new Second Chances change that they rolled around. I explained that I was not sure if a ticket was the right way to go about asking for a 'Second Chance Request', but asked to be pointed in the right direction and for my account status to be reviewed. However, like mentioned before, this ticket was closed without a response. Despite the Second Chance article stating, "...pledge to ensure that every player who’s received a Redbeard in the past has their eligibility for a second chance reviewed appropriately." My concerns fell on deaf ears.
