ALT + TAB = Game Crash

Happens randomly. ALT+Tabbed multiple times to check on Steam Chat/Discord/Xbox App, eventually the game will crash. Just ALT+TAB enough times and it will eventually happen.

I love this game to death but wow is this annoying!

Never had this nor did my crew. And we alt tab a lot. So this is most likely a bug on your PC. Maybe a issue with windows or the game install.

This is the only app that has I have seen crash due to losing focus

Reset the game and windows store threw the windows settings and if that doesnt work, try reinstalling the game. Also makes sure windows 10 is up to date. Because windows has some bugs.

That happens to me on occasion too, you're not the only one.

I don't know what the issue is, but it has become a rule amongst many in the community, "Never Alt Tab!".
I've seen some people say it doesn't happen to them. Honestly not sure what the cause of this may be. If you use two monitors, whenever you want to switch to something else while playing SoT, open up your inventory, then move your mouse off screen to the other monitor, and work from there.
It is very odd and, yeah, frustrating, to pretty consistently crash on ALT+TAB. I hate those rare moments when I still go to do it, lol.

Playing at Microsoft Store since day 1, not a single ms of delay when Alt+Tab to my second monitor... after i start playing at Steam, everytime i Alt+Tab, game freezes for about 5 seconds.
