Revenge of the Morningstar - Lore you might have missed

  • I was watching streaming footage of Revenge of the Morningstar, and I noticed a few bits of lore that some people might have missed (SPOILERS BELOW):

    • When retrieving the skull, the skellies mention that Douglas was a pirate from the old days, that went toe-to-toe with the pirate lord himself. This is also mentioned in the Athena’s Fortune novel, where Ramsay and his crew battle to free a mermaid from his clutches.
    • When retrieving the chalice, the Skellies talk about ‘the previous owner’ having supposedly gone down with his ship and cursed cannons. I’m pretty sure this is referring to Flameheart, which means the Chalice of Resurrection is the same chalice that cursed him.
    • Both are placed on the altar to summon Graymarrow, but then what happens to them? Seeing as they are left behind, does this mean that someone might resurrect Captain Douglas in a future update? Could Flameheart end up reacquiring his lost chalice?

    Food for thought.
