how to fix the toxic player problem.

  • I know as of late its been a hot topic but i thought of a simple solution to fix the issue altogehter.

simply ban players who are caught being heavily toxic. on facebook there is a group dedicated to the toxic playerbase and there at 883 members. thats alot of bad eggs playing the game.

now outright banning might seem excessive but its the only way to bring new players in while keeping the good players around. becasue if you build up a game with bad people then its sets a bad example to the rest of the industry.

  • @xurbanranger1x There’s multiple tools avalible to report toxic behaviour you can do it through Xbox or on the forums here.

Be the change you wish to see on the seas and if you feel offended or upset by something report it to Rare or MS.

I’ve been playing the game since the alpha and in my personal experience the game is pretty tame. It has nothing on Overwatch, Dota, COD and litrally any BR.
In my opinion it’s a non problem.

  • As a reminder to all, this is something Rare and Microsoft takes very seriously!

If you believe a player has been toxic in the game, you can report them to Xbox Live here. You can also submit a support ticket to Rare Player Support.

This. Report them and let Rare/MS deal with it, end of story.

I think that topic is seriously starting to turn around in circles now...

  • Alright so here's the thing I actually run this Facebook group you're talkin about and and none of us are actually toxic in the game we get called trolls on other Facebook groups for joking around so we made that group it's all a joke we're all big parts of the community you won't find a single thing about us being toxic in the game. But sure buddy go ahead and try to get us all banned from a Facebook group on a game 😂😂

I do believe you! But i have reported a couple of players now, with video evidence attached, but of none of the reports i got feedback they actually did something with it. When i check the player accounts, i see them still playing the game and since that is the only information i can get, i create my own conclusion about it.

I know it brings alot of work with it, but some actual feedback would be nice though..

  • @knifelife It's 914 now. Thanks for playing. 👍

  • There is actually nothing toxic about that Facebook group. You obviously do not get the meaning and point behind it. In all the other Sea of Thieves Facebook pages you cannot post a good PVP video without upsetting a majority of the community. You post a video stealing and sinking another player in a pirate game and you’re automatically labeled toxic and people bash you. Shoot people even throw insults at you for playing the game even though nothing that occurred was toxic. I’m in that group and you’re 100% wrong on your post but we are all allowed to voice our opinions.

I litrally have no clue as to what that means 😂

  • @knifelife it's the current member count of the group. His effort to call out that particular group has seemingly made it bigger.

  • @nabberwar

No what has increased the number of members in our group is really the toxic behavior of other groups and their admins.

This group was really started as a joke and a place for us to have fun make jokes and share our journey in SOT.

Also we promote the integration of a crowbar even though it is stupid.🤣

  • The crowbar isn't stupid and we need it in the game, gosh darn it.

  • I am a member of the so called "toxic group". If you had ever been in the group you would know it's not about being toxic, it's about being in a group where the admins don't pick and choose who has to follow the rules and who doesn't. Where you don't get muted for respectfully disagreeing with the opinion of admins, mods, and their little pet members. I joined the "toxic" group because I was verbally attacked by one of the other group's pet members and when I tried to defend myself I was the one called out by admins and my replies were deleted while her's were left up. So before you go judging a group, maybe you should actually find out what the group is about FIRST. Ours isn't the toxic group. We left the toxic group.

  • @nabberwar Oh we still have the mentality of judging people by groupings and stereotypes rather than there own convictions.
Okay that makes more sense lol, forgot this was the new sea of thieves forums 😂 (Also not direceted at you personally Nabberwar)

Thanks for explaining what the comment meant, i thought I had inadvertently been thrown into a number riddle 😂
