@averageheroz That just means you're okay with the bare minimum, which is fine. But as you put it, 95% of us are not. All I want is at least another outfit to work for, or a ghost weapon/item skin set. How hard is that to implement? Certainly shouldn't take 6 months.

@averageheroz @blg-strong-dad I have 100% completed 100/100 accommodations with bilge rats, hoarders and souls and merchant i gave up on when they nerfed them and i logged in did one skull fort and got 16 titles, i have every item bought in the game and 10 mil to spare. Doing the same quests over and over for nothing at this point is very boring. I love this game just bored with it, and I guess its my fault for having my hopes set that they would give us something to do

@zormis I will give you credit, the content updates always brings players that don't want to pvp, trying to be a merchant. and that creates pvp content for the bored PL or chasing someone ships until they scuttle content lol :)

@algaram not even a pirate legend and I am tired of the grind. Hunting for ships is more fun. I do open crews as well, so sometimes I teach others how to play.

I would have been happy doing Skull Forts for the achievement and PVP, that's gone. Add me to the list of people hunting other ships.

Sinking ships and pvp isn't toxic. I don't care where I sink ships but my first choice is at a skull fort. All i am saying is we now don't have a choice.

@antagoni-blurr Eh, even if they are trying to make people mad I don't see anything wrong with it. Rare doesn't give us actual content and says they want us to "make our own adventures". That's what they are doing. They have a goal that has more actual challenge and is probably more satisfying then anything "official" in the game. It will probably remain that way for these players in the foreseeable future as well judging by how lazy and poorly designed Rare's "content" is.

@averageheroz You're lying to yourself. This game has next to nothing to offer. After 4 hours you've done it all. There's 1 voyage type and it's presented in 4 forms. Either you're retrieving a chest, a skull, an animal, or running cargo. All you are is a UPS man, not a pirate. After you play for let's say 10 hours, you've been to 70-100% of the islands. You've experienced PvP. After you've hit level 10 in all factions, you've experienced all it has to offer. Pirate legend is no different, it just takes longer to progress. There's only 3 types of crews you'll meet. Either they'll run on sight, attack on sight, or be cool. But the first 2 are what you'll experience 65-80% of the time, minimum. I don't care if you're enjoying yourself, that's great. Not many others are, and the stats speak for themselves. Just because you're having fun doesn't mean the game doesn't need drastic changes. And I'd argue that easily over 60% of players are complaining about the game at this point because it's an unbelievable let down. "Pirate legend is where the game starts" they told us in the beginning. It's been 7 months and all pirate legend gets you is a glowing set of pajamas and 2 ugly ship skins. Also, non legends can earn the outfit. Not even a new voyage type? How can anyone defend this at this point? It's been 7 months, not 2, not 3, but 7. They literally just do not care about the people who dedicated time to the game. It's Destiny 2 all over again.

@skullmanbeard That's cool, you can enjoy sailing in a circle, myself and others just expected a pirate game. You play to hear a cannon fire? I wish I could be so simple, truly. I don't care if OP enjoys the game, good for him. You people are the reason this game will never improve acting like it doesn't need serious, serious changes. That doesn't include ruining or removing anything it currently has, it simply means revamping and fixing a lot of it. The derp here is the guy who tried to make a point comparing Sea of Thieves to chess. But what can I expect? When I play this game 90% of players are too stupid to move their ship. You fit right in.

@blg-strong-dad except destiny 2 actually had content on launch. I'm not gonna get into all the shady and disgusting business practices that bungie has used on it's players, but even though the game was bad, at least it had the decency to be something. SoT is getting way to much of a pass from people and reviewers IMO. Most of them won't say the game is "bad" because there has to actually be SOMETHING in the game to call it bad. SoT just has nothing. Destiny 2 is like ordering a cake and finding out it's disgusting(but the frosting is good). SoT is like ordering a cake and getting all the ingredients shipped to you in a box. You can't say the cake is bad because the damn thing isn't finished! All you can do is look at the ingredients and say "yep! that looks like it would make a good cake."

I've been PL for a long time.. May area.

It's been a so much of a great ride that I'm now less gamer and more SoT enthusiast. The PLs have shown the commitment and dedication to the game that most of the players never play enough to reach.

Alot of the content that has been realeased was mostly demanded by players that have stopped playing since. they got what they wanted complained and stopped playing... those of us left.. happy with the new, I'm loving everything so far... but a small PL addition each time would have been nice.. ghosts was coolish. but no core additions... PL and beyond are still left behind sadly :(

@betsill Destiny 2 had content for a month. It took absolutely no time/effort to max your character on launch because Bungie catered to the casual player, as most companies are now. That was my issue with Destiny 2. Game itself was fun to play but had nothing below the surface, just like this one.

After the call to arms this weekend my crews ( 2 ships running on same servers ) sunk over 35 ships in 3 days of play. I still have fun playing with friends and that’s probably what keeps it alive for all of us. Not level 10 yet just a bit under lvl 7 and still praying for the future for us all.

@averageheroz Nope, you misunderstand what I mean. You're lying to yourself saying the game has a lot to offer. You enjoying it is completely different from that. So based off your response it looks like you agree with me, but just won't admit that the game is absolutely terrible, which is fine. We're done here :)

When I no longer enjoy an activity I do this really weird thing, I stop participating in that activity.

@whyo Yeah, I have stopped playing. However, I want this game to be great. And it has amazing potential. It just seems like the players care way more than Rare, which is really sad. So I come to the forums sometimes to leave my thoughts and respond to blind fanboys.

They keep taking away things that would keep us playing and replacing them with things that last one gaming session. It's no wonder people are leaving the game.
