So I purchased the black dog dlc for Xbox one and I'm not finding the items in my inventory? I did NOT pre-order the game, I bought the code off a trusted seller online and the code DID in fact work but no items. I'm hearing you need to go and find them or you need to wait or you need to dance around in circles and do a bunch of c**p to get it. Had anyone bought a working code offline and has figured this problem out? If so I'd greatly appreciate the insight!

Check your purchase history in your Xbox account settings (website)
Whatever code you entered will have a description/date stamp there.
I pre-ordered and received in game at launch with no codes delivered.
I sincerely hope you weren’t sold a valid code for something (gamepass trial or Xbox live trial) - masked as a Black Dogs code. :(
Review your purchase history, that’s the only way to know for sure.
No special tricks needed, these items would be readily available in clothing/equipment chests on board ship or at any outpost.
I've bought a couple of codes for friends and they've worked. As long as MS said the code was valid when you entered it you should be fine.
Only thing I'll mention is that you gotta reboot the game once you enter the code, and the code can take a day or two to upload into your inventory. After a few days its been in my friends inventory.
If its been a bit just open a ticket...they can see that you've entered it online and will add accordingly.
