Ahoy, fellow pirates!
I'm coming at you today with another suggestion, Photo Booths! This might seem trivial in today's world where we can take screenshots and videos at will but let me explain. Every time we take a screenshot of our player, we are limited to the animations on the emote wheel. We also have to compete with whatever is going on in the background (this can be a good thing though).
Here's what I'm suggesting. Rare said they were creating a way for us to customize our player's look. Implement this through a barber shop style building on outposts.
- In or around that building, add a booth that players can step into.
- In this booth, allow the player to select an animation.
It can be any animation from in game or the title screen and you can see your player in 3rd person
- In the booth, give us the ability to move the camera freely around our player.
- Let us choose an image background.
There should be a transparent background and a bunch of backgrounds from some predefined list (loading screens maybe?). In order to actually have a transparent background the in-game feature itself will have to be able to save the picture without us taking a screenshot (screenshots don't control alpha levels). This would be used for people who want a picture of only their character model.
