@markobi1 I have one more tip for you: If I get chased by a galleon, I'll drive against the wind in a straight line and observe the galleon.
If they are following me straight, I make sure to have open seas in front of me and take a gun powder keg, jump in front of my ship into the water and swim towards the galleon, while hiding my gamer tag underwater. If I need to catch breath, I'll do and check my position to the galleons one. Then, if the enemy hull comes in side, I drop the gun powder keg and get myself in a save position to climb on the galleons ladder.
If I miss the ship, I use the mermaid, ensure my ships course is save (including wind direction and edge of the map)
After the explosion I immiediately drop their anchor, take their bananas, hide at the ammo-chest. If somebody is catching or raising the anchor or I hear somebody repairing bottom deck, I shoot him point blank with blunderbuss. If I get two of them while repairing and stall the other two for a few seconds, their ship will be sunk.
If I don't have a gun powder keg, I do the same, get on their ship, drop anchor and stall them as long as possible. While my ship is sailing straight away, I increase the distance between my ship and the enemy galleon. This will make them give up eventually.
Good luck and fair seas matey!
