Voyage rep multiplier

  • I think it would be good if you turned in a certain amount of items in a certain time to the vendors you would get a rep multiplier of some sort. So if i held onto say 20 chests and turned them all in at once i would get a rep multiplier of some sort for those 20. It would be like a risk reward kind of deal, if you stash up a lot of items you will get the benefit of a rep multiplier but you also risk losing everything on board.

  • I like this idea. It would provide more incentive for players/crews to carry around more loot, and make PvP more rewarding.

On the flip-side, this could increase the PvP actions to such an extent that the people who are screaming for "PVE Only" servers could also multiply. Lol :(

I've been calling for loot incentives for awhile now. Currently, playing it safe is the way to go. If I'm near an outpost I'll just have the entire crew jump out and turn in the best stuff while the ship continues on its way.

More loot on the sea means more intensity. Players that want to continue playing it safe are more than welcome to as it won't hurt them. Players that want to assume greater risk would have a reason to. I don't see a problem with this.

  • @gavin-m-13 while a good idea I don’t think it would have a major impact on its own. I think the problem is the total loss system in place highly discourages carrying a lot of treasure and I don’t think this would change too many ppls minds to take that risk.

Then, I ask, why not implement it? If the assumption is that it won't change much doesn't that just give this multiplier idea more credence?

  • @gloog I’m for it I just don’t think on its own it will have a strong influence for the intended effect. I want ppl to take more risks and hold more treasure but at the end of the day most ppl won’t take the all or nothing risk of the current system.

  • nice idea man
