I was doing a merchant quest. I tuned in the three pigs and needed on red snake. Since I had just seen a galleon that attacked me from the north I headed south. Just looking for the closest island in that direction hoping it would have some snakes.
When I pulled up to the Island I didn't get the music and title of the Island. I thought that was strange. But jumped on the island to look for snakes. No snakes, but the island was strange. It was three small islands together with very deep water between them. I thought something was up. There were a few ships sunk between these three small islands. I decided I wanted to know what Island this was. When I looked at my map, there was no Island where my ship was on the map. I zoomed in and out to make sure. And there is no Island on the map at this location. So I spent a good hour exploring. I was lucky that a skull fort had just spawned to the south so I didn't get attacked or anything.
There was a cave with two entrances. I won't say what I found or where the Island was located. But It was a thrill to find it and actually have a chance to explore the whole cave and all the wrecks that were there.
This was the most fun I've had since the game came out. I got enough time to completely explore something I had never seen in game before. I raise a mug of grog to Rare!
So keep an eye out for Islands not on your map. They may have come in with the new patch!!!!
