Friendly Fire does exist

    We all know that you can't shoot or slice up your crew members (no matter how often you might want to when they do some stupid things...), however, FF does actually exist in the game.

    I was on a two man sloop with a buddy of mine doing some voyages and waiting for our other crew members to get online when the worst accident I have ever witness happened.

    We were wrapping up an Order of Souls voyage and had just taken out the last of the skeleton crew that was assisting the Captain. My friend says to me "I will wrap this up if you want to get some stuff taken back to the ship." I acknowledged and proceeded to gather up resources and the explosive barrel that was nearby.

    The Captain missed a sword swing and I took my opportunity to slip by.....just as.....my crew member.....took a swing of his sword.

    BOOOM!!!!!!

    We then appear on the Ferry of the Damned and all I heard for the next 3 minutes was my friend laughing while asking (Mod Edit) happened??!!

    Friendly Fire does in fact exist my friends....tread carefully with those barrels.

    @bonzaibingo88 I sunk our sloop when I attempted a sword lunge jump from the deck just as my mate jumped back on board with a keg.. We laughed so hard that day.

    ^^ exists too if you decide to try shoot your ship with a cannon

    Yes, we've used this as a weapon, especially on Skull Forts. Sometimes when it is hectic, one of the crew running a keg in the middle of skeletons and then either destroying it or having it shot by a crew mate is the way to go. We call it the Kebmo after the first crew member to pull the stunt.

    It can also be useful when a crew member gets stuck somewhere between rocks or something. Set the keg near them and either let them shoot it or shoot it from distance.

    Fun with explosives!

    @gatorwocky Yep - you know you can also drop then under an enemy ship and it will flout up and explode upon contact with their hull causing massive damage. They're the best weapon in the game if you can use them correctly.

    Hitting an enemy ship with a keg is my job on the boat. People are really looking out for it more and more, though.

    You can blow up your own boat that way as well. We've kegged our own at the end of a session and then played music, drank and danced as she sank.

    I did this to my crew today, excellent lesson in friendly fire. Also a nice deterrent, I mean; If we will do such things to our own crew what the (Mod Edit) might we do to enemies. Lessons learned all around today.
