Make the stronghold key teleport back to skeleton fort

    So people don't take it and run, to come back later. It the key leaves the island and the gaurding towers it should teleport back.

    Taking or hiding the key and coming back later is a valid tactic to counter ganking by crews that are just waiting to jump you when you have finished the fort and steal the key from you.

    Terrible suggestion.

    I think thats one of the cool things about the forts, that you can take the key and run. It sure has saved my a*s a couple of times when we've had galleons just circling around waiting for the skull to dissapear and then attack/ram us for the key.

    No, if my crew can outsmart yours and hide the key till you leave or go off far away looking for it than we deserve the prize for it. Being crafty is just as valid a skill as direct combat in a Pirate world.

    I may as well ask that you get booted from server once I beat you at the fort so you can’t repeat return to fight me for it.

    Items dropped on land don't despawn for several hours specifically so you CAN hide them on a random island to come back later for, if somebody is smart enough to run off with the key because your crew is trying to contest the fort and you're not skilled and determined enough to get it back then you don't deserve the loot and they do, clearly they wanted it more than you did!

    The chase for the key is like a chase for a treasure map itself. It's awesome, leave it alone.

    I had to run and hide a key yesterday as a galleon tried to attack us when we did a fort so i had to defend against the 4 man and if it made you teleport back then they could just camp you and not have to chase

    In fact I would counter this request by asking rare to allow players to bury the stronghold key so they can return to get it later.
