Combat System - Responsive Buttons

  • So lets get down to one of the major problems in this game that definitely needs to be revisited eventually, especially since this is a cross platform title. How 'wonky' the combat controls are. I can't tell you how many times I hit the 'block' trigger on XB1 and there is a long delay before my character is blocking with a sword, or switching to 'swing' again. Holding down the 'swing' trigger button performs a push attack, while doing this you should be allowed to turn your character in a circle to change the direction on an instant, otherwise they can jump side to side and not get hit. Also while in attack if you switch to a banana, and back to the weapon once again there is a delay.

    I don't know why there are these periodic delays that occur when fighting, but I think this system needs to be reworked so it is more responsive.
