@presnakov Im of Uruguay and the game isnt available in this country. If you want the game only wait for the SOT come to Uruguay (I want to play it now D:)
This has affected me as well.... I bought a friend in Malta a gift Certificate from the MS store and sent it to her. First just being able to use the gift certificate was a major hassle and took 3+ hours with tech support to make the gift available to her. Then she didn't have enough to buy the game, so she sent me a little $$ which I turned into another gift card and sent to her. She then had to spend 3 more hours with tech support to get that added $ combined with the original. Then after another 3 hours with tech support, she is told that because she is on Malta, she can't buy the game, and even if she did source a copy, because she lives in Malta, she would not be able to play it.
MS... it is 2018... we are now a global society. Do we have to drag you into this century??
Further, there is no place on these forums to address these issues and I only found this thread by searching for "country" in titles...
@hidrapond I tried that but I could not complete the purchase because I had to fill in a US address. How did you get around that?

It's a bit of a hassle but it shouldn't affect you
The only thing it did is it made me have access to the game later (because I put it as North America)

2 of my friends had to 'purchase' the game pass free trial via the website and then it worked.
They were country locked as USA but in Canada so it wasn't letting them do it through the MS store app (on PC), but using the MS Store app to open up their personal accounts on the MS website and then buying from the store on there worked.

You mean to create a new Microsoft account with diferent location?
Nope, no new account was needed. Going in through the website worked fine. One friend could properly see his history of xbox purchases, the other saw her SoT PC beta on there under history (not an xbox user), and it worked fine going into the store at that point (on the website). The problem seemed specific to purchasing within the MS Store app on Win 10.

I gave the most accurate address in the US. Postal code and everything. And my card is still from Romania and it worked nonetheless. I had my PC location to US as well if that helps

An Uruguayan partner @WildMonkeyy told me how to play it.
Must buy a redeem code in some web store, then redeem it on a Xbox Argentina account. After that i have to change the region of my PC and i will be able to play.
HOPE MICROSOFT (or Rare) INCLUDE ALL THE WORLD TO PLAY SOT. Its a shame in this year that we have region locked. WE ALL ARE PLAYERS
@hidrapond You mean you just filled in the address as accurately as possible even if you aren't from the US?
@batedzeus665311 you must buy the redeem code in g2a or kinguin. Then you must create or change the region of your Msoft account in xbox.com, after that you should close every applications and change in panel control of W10 your region of PC, finally you enter in the xbox app and redeem your code.
Ive havnt tried yet, but i would. If someone do it first, tell me your experience.
