Lack of Mic Activity Indicator, or Mic Setting, or Mic Volume Slider, or Push to Talk button setting?

  • Hi,

I was lucky enough to get in a couple of hours of play last night, and while I ended up having an absolutely wonderful time with the game, I had some teething issues when I first got started.

First, there's no way to exit the game from the main menu. You have to load into a full game just to get access to the "Exit to Desktop" button. Pretty huge oversight.

There's no way to set the Mic you want to use in the Audio Settings. You have to use the Default System Mic.

You can turn Push-To-Talk on but it doesn't tell you anywhere in game what the Push-to-Talk key actually is.

There's no indicator, either in the settings screen or in the HUD to show that you are actually talking and your mic is transmitting. It was very confusing, especially when you party with a player who speaks a different language, I wasn't sure if my Mic wasn't working or we just couldn't understand each other.

There's no Mic Volume slider, meaning of my Mic is too loud or too quiet I have no way of adjusting that volume in-game. I have to exit the game (Alt-tabbing doesn't work), change the Properties of the Mic in Windows and then go back into the game and try again.

Please, add a Mic monitor to the settings menu with a Mic Selector and a Volume slider. Similar to how the CS:GO Mic Settings are.

  • @i-hazz3r-i It's left-alt on PC you can see it on control scheme(considering you enabled push to talk trough settings)

There is a "Control scheme" option when you get to the menu. It shows the basic controls, including push-to-talk button. But aside from that I agree with everything on your list.

  • @kgmshylian Ah, okay, that makes sense. I must have glazed over it, my bad!

Still, I would like to be able to set it to a custom binding. I have a lot of buttons on my mouse that I would prefer to use!

According to their communication, it is soon to be implemented. Or at least I hope. My bet is that it will be there on release already.
