Does anyone know if there are plans for a Steam version? I would absolutely love that. I am worried that if I preorder on W10 and then a Steam version is released, I wont get to play with my friends on PC. Does anyone know?
Also on PC do I have to pay an Xbox sub to play this game?
Any help would be appreciated as I am new here.

@master-jtron There are no plans for a Steam version of the game. Seeing as other first-party Xbox games are not on Steam like Gears and Forza I would say it won't be a thing down the road either.
If you play Sea of Thieves on your PC, you don't need to pay for XBL. You only pay for XBL if you play on Xbox like all other multiplayer games on Xbox.
@ionei-falcon So just to confirm, if I was to purchase this game on PC, will I be able to play with friends that are on Xbox? Another thing, that if i bought the game on PC I wouldn't have to pay extra to play on Xbox.
@ximnike Sea of Thieves has cross-play enabled so you can play with your Xbox friends on your Windows 10 PC :) You won't even notice the difference. As for playing on both, as long as you buy a digital copy of Sea of Thieves you can play on either Xbox or PC.
