i honestly, no joke. would pay significant amounts of gold and even doubloons to be able to delete cosmetic items from my collection. these items would then become available for purchase in the shops in case i change my mind. but honestly im not a fan of most of the season cosmetics that were forced upon me by passively playing the game. and there are some past cosmetic purchases i regret. and with both gold and doubloons being out of control a refund on my prior purchases isnt even a concern. i just want to tidy up my collection. that is more valuable to me than the currency.
the sad reality of this doubloon reset is its temporary. if were being honest its just to bump newer player engagement so they can chase the cosmetics year1 players chased. it was even blatantly said in the podcast "in year1 the players were working torward the cosmetics together as a community" i mean... kinda. just because it was literally the only content to do and we all wanting it. i would say working as a community implied co-operation when in reality this game has and will always be sink anyone you come across. it was the forced friendly stuff like sitting in skeleton thrones that actually pushed the pvp heavy focused people i knew away from the game. so in those cases yea skeleton thrones made us work together. briefly. which was cool.
you didnt say how you were going to prevent the currency from getting out of control again. just vagueness around vaguness. so i offered several solutions to allow us to spend large amounts of both currencies to acquire (or delete) things which we put a heavy value on. we know you arent going to add cosmetic saving... so let us delete what we dont want so we dont have so many pages of ick. i would argue most of us dont want 5 pages of swords. there might be 12 in there we actually like.. not that titles matter i think thats a set it and forget it if not a nobody cares section of the game. but hey i got arena master title for spending doubloons on levels. the clout i have from that! wooo! ...34 pages of titles lol oof. at least we can save ship cosmetics but 6 pages of hulls, 9 pages of sails...
heck with my proposition of allowing us to pay to delete out cosmetics to clean up our chests i think i might have to actually grind to get enough currency to delete all the stuff i want to purge. like even the cheap budget newbie sails that cost around 5000 gold? i would be willing to pay 100k to delete.
