Treasure sink rate

  • I have been playing sea of thieves since day one usually I play on a brig with a group of people I know the sink time has changed a few times over the years it’s been an hour. It’s been 15 minutes. And now it is five minutes but sometimes actually starts sinking in 2 minutes Which is a bit rough, for the first time in years, I decided to play on a sloop, how people can do that amazes me after playing two days in a row I got attacked by a Skelly gally in the roar throw in a megalodon just for fun add on top of that why not add a Kraken, which I inevitably sink before escaping either due to running out of wood or because the Skelly gally has a black powder keg and blows up right next to me, and then to top that off when you spawn back, you’re on the other side of the map, which is most of us know takes a lot longer than five minutes to get back to try and save your stuff, and then you have those streamers just for the fun of it goes around sinking ship for absolutely no reason but for fun it doesn’t collect any of your treasure that you’ve collected all your supplies and goes off to the next ship and sometimes even next server it would be great if you could put it back to 15 minutes at least to give people a chance to even get their stuff back even when we were playing in a brig it would be nice for the chance to try and retrieve it!

  • I have been playing sea of thieves since day one

you got a lot of complaints for someone who should have the know out and knowledge how to deal with the mishaps. :/

two days in a row I got attacked by a Skelly gally in the roar

You dont simply get attacked by a Gally skeleton as a Sloop, unless yourself got close. And seeing your in the DR...you mostly sailed in the Smuggler route, which has one. That on you.

a megalodon just for fun add on top of that why not add a Kraken

Must be nice. But, Minus the skeleton galleon, Kraken can dealt with, and Meg wont attack you unless you attack them first. Common to know as a Sloop.

I inevitably sink before escaping either due to running out of wood

Happens to the best of us.

the Skelly gally has a black powder keg and blows up right next to me

Yeah, dont get close to those monsters. xD but at least makes it easier to sink one.

when you spawn back, you’re on the other side of the map,

    This here I question.
One hand, we have players who complain, you dont spawn far enough after sinking. Now we have players upset you do spawn far away...

then you have those streamers just for the fun of it goes around sinking ship for absolutely no reason

How do you know they are Streamers? and, there always a reason. Commendations, Achievements, Your in the way.... (as for streamers, Views)

Lesson for a new sloop player. Always carry a Rowboat, if you sink. Dont respawn, get on the rowboat, collect stuff and row away.

  • they honestly need to normalize it. merchant crates float for 10 minutes other loot for 5. make everything 10. i think the idea was allowing people time to recover their animal cages if they sink because you couldnt reacquire the cages. no one ever liked animal voyages anyway though and you could just cancel the voyage and start over. the only issue there is if the animals were the last stop of your 8 map pirate legend voyage then you got screwed over. but now theres been the introduction of the ability to buy supply crates and storage crates so being able to recover your supplies when you sink even if you lose the treasure... but then we can also buy captaincy supplies and storage crates on shores and rowboats full of supplies. . its just weird. kinda like barrels reset their stock every 30 minutes. but thats not on the hour and half hour its 30 minutes from server start for some weird reason. so one server could be on the 15 and 45 after the hour. why not just have it be a fixed time? programming decisions are weird
