Missing fuse animation on Black Powder Barrels?

  • I just lit a black powder keg for the first time and noticed immediately that there's a sparkling/burning animation at the top of the fuse as the timer runs.. but that's it. The fuse doesn't actually appear to burn down as seconds pass before explosion, so there's no visual indication of how much time is left.

    It seems a bit odd to implement a keg with such a long fuse, and then not actually... animate it doing what long fuses do! Is this a bug or an actual oversight?

  • This is a really good point. Another thing to add would be damage incicator to the barrel. It takes around 8 swipes to cause the barrel to go boom. A 25% 1 crack, 50% 2 cracks and 75% 3 cracks.

  • I don't think this is a bug or negligence, the time for black powder to ignite is about 10 seconds.
    All gunpowder barrels in the game can be re timed by canceling the ignition.
    If the fuse of the powder keg has animation, then I will cancel the ignition in the last second of the countdown.
    It takes 10 seconds to reignite. What should be done for the fuse animation of the powder keg? Growing back?

    Animation of you pulling on the fuse and it becoming a little longer.

  • @mr-spx-ss It should just revert to the unlit model. You don't have an animation for lighting or unlighting the keg so who cares?
