I'm not here writing expecting much but the point of these forums again, ideas and suggestions xD
If I wanted suggest dragons I would make a thread saying so, if there already were dragons in game someone could then point to me and say" just do so and so and you find the dragon.
What I'm saying here is, I would enjoy a bot crew, similar functions already exist on the BB.
I don't expect the devs to throw away everything else they are working on, divorce their husband and wife's, sell their kids and start working 24/7 on what I'm asking for.
No, what I'm hoping for by posting here is that someone in the dev team will look at it at think: 'hmm not a bad idea, and maybe we can make money on skins, clothes cosmetics for the bots, I'll bring it up on the next big meeting's.
I'm aware that's unlikely but no amount of your inside information and expert knowledge will drain my hope xD
In my opinion you have not yet given me a good reason why it's not possible besides "your expert knowledge and experience" xD
I wouldn't be posting here if I didn't love the core game, I just don't love every detail and aspect of it.
The game developers for Sea of Thieves, care so much about game-balance and fairness, they took away the V-cut for the DA sails in order to have both new and veteran players play on an even playing field without the benefit/advantage those sails gave. Using that as a prime example, do you seriously think they're going to up-turn the balance of the game, to give the extremely rare/unique player who wants to solo a galleon bots, all because they refuse to invite their own crew to the ship? They removed a sail cosmetic because it created an imbalance, however small, to other crews/ships. This is how much detail they put into this game when it comes to the balancing act. Renting bots for a solo to crew a galleon, wouldn't only be incredibly imbalanced, but also not fair to other crews. A game developer isn't going to say, "Hmm, not a bad idea, oh and we can make money on skins, clothes, etc." They'll say, "Uhh, this seriously affects other crews, creates a major imbalance, and wouldn't be fair to an attacking ship, to include the BB. It would take months of developing, coding, trying to balance all these bots depending on ship size, crew size, how certain features and mechanics would function, all because one player wants to solo a galleon. Not worth it. There are many on the official discord looking for crews. What's stopping this one player from simply joining a gally crew?"
Doesn't that sound like the easiest, cheapest, and most logical solution here? What's wrong with simply inviting your own crew?
