Why? already hundreds of millions in items to buy and they likely will continue adding more that range from not-too-bad to expensive.
SoT is already creating a situation where new players are not going to attach to grinds because it's becoming literally years and years of grinding organically.
"Why bother" is something SoT should be concerned about. Both with cosmetics and with commendations.
They don't need people with 10k hours to attach to the game. They needs players with 1 hour to attach to the game, and 10 hours, and 20, etc.
At this point SoT might not even be around long enough to do a lot of this stuff organically as a newer player. People are aware enough to know that. So it's either avoid it or cheese it and neither of those options are good for SoT.
