If you had a chance to either add a new weapon or make a change to already existing one, what would you choose? And what weapon or change would you like to add or make?

  • Personally, I would like to add a two new Dart types to a Blowpipe. A Vomit Dart & Dancing Dart. And what about ye?

  • Double Barrel needs a rework.

    • (When aiming) it should be click to fire.

    • (When not aiming) it’d stay release to fire so you can do the charge shot, and then aim in.

    • I’d also love if the charge shot went through multiple enemies like a sword lunge does.

  • @selgewick

I’m hesitant to say this because of fear of argument and pushback, but more damage on the blunderbuss.

I can barely get a kill off now because the blunderbuss doesn’t do as much damage anymore.

  • Bow

not just as a hunting/pvp weapon but as a tool

everything from cursed/fire/blunder arrow tips, to bow fishing, to firework arrows, to using an arrow for spit cooking

It's time for the harpoon/bow combo in adventure play

  • I would change the double barrel to make it more viable, but im not exactly sure what can be done to save it. Its only any good with pve, or knowing when you see a player using it, that you found some free loot, or some one to kill and send their ship away since they likely arnt a threat.

When a weapons only 2 uses are pve, and to know a player is not a threat for using it. Its got something seriously wrong.

  • Only change I would make is adding a 3rd weapon slot. Limiting it to specific types maybe. I have found for navigating islands and doing certain quests the grapple gun is mandatory. However it's also pretty useless outside of just getting around quicker. I have seen many others who just default back to their year one loadout. I am pretty much the same. Cutlass and eye of reach for me. The other weapons were just for completing commendations then to never be thought about again.

  • Add oil. Able to combine once with any weapon and set it ablaze.

Pistol: first shot causes target to catch fire when hit
Blunder: dragons breath, short burst of flames like the ashen wind
Sword: set sword on fire for short moment, like the flame hearts blade but doesn’t last.
Tankard: Drink and light match to blow fire out of mouth. Causes damage to your own health but sets anything in front of you, short distance on fire.

    Stupid silly fun

  • Hatchet:
    Left Click Functionality:
    Swing Damage: 20
    Charge Swing Damage: 50
Swing Speed: Only slightly faster than that of the sword, but slower than a dagger.

    Right Click Functionality:
    Can you block?: No
Right Click: A hacking and prying motion with the Hatchet, each animation about 2 seconds in length. The intention is to deal damage to ship structural integrity. It creates a very clearly loud hacking noise of chopping into wood. The Hatchet need to hack into a vulnerable ship point 5 times before it cracks open a level 1 hole in the Ship's hull. Continue hacking an additional 5 times for a level 2 hole, and an additional 5 times for a level 3 hole. Same rules apply for hacking damage into a ship's mast, wheel, or capstan. 5 hacks to deal 1 level of damage each.

    Purpose:
The purpose for this weapon would mainly be for boarders intent on sabotaging an enemy ship. This is less efficient than cannonballs, but for a crew that does not have any cannonballs left, or are trying to cause extra mayhem on a ship boarding, this may be the option for them. It is significantly slower than just firing a cannonball into the side of a ship, but there are special use cases where one may want to bring the Hatchet instead of a different tool or weapon.

  • @magus104

    Only if it is toggle-able.

If I’m doing PvP and I want to double gun, I don’t want to be accidentally pulling out a double barrel pistol out of my back pocket.

  • Double barrel pistol rework:

Remove the charge shot, now shoots on press instead of on release

    +Damage buffed from 45 to 50

-Delay between shots increased to 1.5 seconds

-Random spread increased and range decreased

Now it actually has meaningful breakpoints and can be used as a solo twotapper, albeit very slow and short ranged

  • Fighting Glove

New Weapon found in the Armory

A right hand gauntlet-like attachment made out of wood that you can use to punch enemies for around 1/8 of damage per punch. Punches are thrown quick so you can beat your opponent to death if you can combo your punches well.

Holding the attack input will allow you to charge a punch and slide a small distance forward. If you connect you will do 3/8 of damage and follow up with another punch directly afterwards to keep the combo going. Miss, and you're stunned by stamina, leaving you very open to a counterattack.

Holding the secondary input will allow you to hold a block, but instead of blocking or resisting damage, you put yourself in a "ready" stance that allows you to short-hop in any direction you feel like, and to soften the deal, you can throw your first punch even quicker than normal.
