Event marker on the chart table

  • You could do it so that you can see the events (Ashen Lord, Fort, Fort of Fortune, Fort of the Damned and the ghost ship event as well as the skeleton ship event) on the map. You could do it in a similar way to how there is currently a map marker for the Siren Skull, a kind of swirl border around the island, and maybe you can also have a fort skull symbol or a ship event symbol visible on the map is to clearly see where exactly this event is located, I think that would also be very beginner friendly....

  • @marvthejoshy You got a navigation chart and a beacon in the sky, that's all you need to reach your destination.

  • @marvthejoshy I'm not particularly against this but it is mostly unnecessary. Fort of the damned is one specific location, so is the skelly fleet. By seeing what direction a Fort is in you can usually triangulate pretty quickly and work out specifically which Fort it's at.

Even ashen winds and ghost fleet once experienced you know which islands it can spawn at so can pretty accurately estimate which island based on the direction.

What exactly does this add? Helps newer players know how far they'd have to travel if they want to attempt?

There is also a risk of map becoming overly cluttered. Current things that show on map off top of head:
Reaper ships, guild 5 ships, hourglass champions, reaper mark flags, bounty chest, reaper chest, popup plunder chest, Fort of damned key, Fort of fortune key, burning blade (ship), blade of souls, emissary ships when you're reaper 5

The siren song does have a marker, but only for those that have chosen to opt into the mission.

  • Or just look to the sky and see the giant tornado, cloud ship or cloud skull
