Mouse 2.4ghz started generating frame drops

  • From one day to the next (after season 12 update) my Razer mouse began to generate sudden drops in fps every time it moved.
I tried the same mouse in Bluetooth mode and it works fine, I tried it in other games and it works fine, I tried another mouse Logitech and it works fine.
I also reinstalled drivers, enabled/disabled VSync, reinstalled the game (MS Store)... all the same. Anyone else with the same problem or any suggestions?

  • I've been having similar problems for the past couple of days, only with a "JLabs JBuds" mouse instead. Though unlike OPs mouse, switching it into Bluetooth mode doesn't alleviate the FPS drop. The frame-rate will literally drop to zero for me until the mouse stops moving, meaning I have to guess how much I have to move it, release the mouse, and hope I'm pointing in the right direction when the game resumes.

I currently suspect there's some other driver or Windows update at play that's causing it. My first thought was maybe AMD Adrenalin's "Radeon Anti-Lag" input-lag reduction toggle, but disabling that made no difference. I'm still going through other potential drivers/programs that could be causing it though.

  • Getting this same issue, changed nothing, except not having played in about a month. Corsair wired mouse. No additional drivers or macro's installed.

  • Not sure what the root cause is, windows update or SoT update, but installing the driver/macro companion software for my mouse and changing my mouse's usb polling rate to 250hz solved the issue for me.
